The Salomon S/LAB Genesis 2 takes ultra-trail performance to the next level with its newly developed optiFOAM² dual-density midsole. Designed to deliver excellent energy return, it combines plush cushioning with responsive performance, maintaining its cushioning properties even over the longest distances.
The midsole is paired with the mechanical activeCHASSIS™ stabilising system, engineered to guide the foot and improve lateral support. It provides added confidence on off-camber sections and uneven terrain while maintaining a smooth, natural running stride.
Built to withstand the toughest mountain conditions, the upper features high-performance Matryx® Micro fabric. Its individually coated Kevlar® and polyamide yarns deliver outstanding abrasion resistance while remaining lightweight and breathable.
Inside, the EndoFit™ inner sleeve wraps the foot for a precise and secure fit. Additional protective padding across the instep and an integrated gaiter around the collar help keep stones and debris out. The result is reliable protection and comfort when the trail gets rough.
Confident footing starts with reliable grip. The All Terrain Contagrip® outsole features an optimised 4.5 mm lug pattern, providing dependable traction across a wide range of surfaces, from muddy trails and wet rock to steep mountain terrain.
Positioned between the outsole and midsole, the Profeel Film acts as a protective barrier against sharp stones and trail obstacles. It helps shield the sole of the foot while preserving excellent ground feel.
The Quicklace™ system allows for fast, precise adjustment in one simple pull, while the integrated lace pocket keeps excess laces securely stored away.
The S/LAB Genesis 2 is built for ambitious trail runners looking for the perfect balance of long-distance cushioning, stability and protection. A competition-ready shoe designed to tackle demanding mountain terrain and maintain high-level performance, even after hours on the trails.
